For nearly twenty-five long years, the horrendous unresolved rape and murder case of the young Liliana Coloto is still haunting the retired Buenos Aires criminal investigator, Benjamín Espósito. Obsessed with the perplexing mystery, Benjamín sets out to write a book with the aid of a former colleague, the beautiful prosecutor and the secret object of his desire, Irene Menéndez Hastings, hopeful of putting the pieces together. Little by little, as the team flashes back to 1970s Argentina, and then, back to the present, a furious search for the truth will eventually unravel a nightmare which spans more than two decades of secrets.
