#Roxy (2018) Synopsis

Classmates at Bergerac High School, Roxy Rostand, Cyrus Nollen, and Bronwyn Raganeau - the romantic bookworm, the skateboarding computer genius, and the smart ass hipster, respectively - have been best friends since they were children, the latter two additionally each other's cousin. Cyrus will do anything for Roxy - such as the computer hack to show up in a very public manner self-absorbed Mike Flurry for a crude act he made toward Roxy - as he is secretly in love with her, Bronwyn the only person in who he has confided such. Cyrus doesn't tell Roxy directly as he, in his self-consciousness, believes romantic love will never be in his life due to his extremely large nose, he in the process never having his photograph taken or allowing others to talk about his or anyone else's nose in general. He, however, can eloquently express his love for Roxy in more private means. When he learns that Roxy is attracted to new student Christian Newville and subsequently that Christian in turn is attracted to her but is too shy to approach her, Cyrus agrees to both their requests to act as an intermediary in at least making an introduction. But when he discovers that sweet Christian is otherwise a proverbial dumb jock that would not be able to win over Roxy on his own, Cyrus further takes the reigns in being Christian's "words and voice" to Roxy without her knowledge, the reason being twofold: to make Roxy happy in Christian being who she wants, and to be involved in some respect in Roxy's love life, even if he isn't the object of her affection in return. What happens within this triangle of sorts is further affected by Cyrus' on-going feud with much larger and stronger Mike, who vows revenge.—Huggo
