Charley Allen has an impeccable CV as medical pilot, but never stayed in one job or city for long. The latter and his cocky attitude make Savannah hospital manager Dr. Lizzie Beauman reluctant to hire him, but the need to have a medical pilot to get a reputed surgeon to sign on convinces her. Charley is also calling on his father, retired pianist Walter, a near-lethargic recluse since becoming a widower, who practically cut off any contact with son.
